Samsung is preparing to expand its budget smartphone lineup. After launching the Galaxy A07 4G in August, the company is now gearing up for the Galaxy A07 5G.
The upcoming phone has surfaced on Geekbench under the model number SM-A076B. The listing confirms that the device runs Android 16 and includes 4 GB of RAM. Reports link this model number directly to the Galaxy A07 5G.
Processor and chipset details
Geekbench data shows the phone uses an octa-core processor. Six cores run at 2.00 GHz, while two cores reach 2.40 GHz. These specifications match the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC. Samsung already uses this chipset in the Galaxy A06 5G.
The processor choice suggests Samsung is focusing on balanced performance and power efficiency. The phone is likely aimed at users seeking affordable 5G connectivity.
Benchmark performance revealed
In performance testing, the Galaxy A07 5G scored 729 points in the single-core test. It achieved 1,878 points in the multi-core test. These scores point to modest but stable performance for everyday tasks.

Industry sources suggest Samsung may launch the Galaxy A07 5G later this month or in early January. The device is expected to bring small upgrades over its predecessor rather than major changes.
With Android 16, 5G support, and a familiar chipset, the Galaxy A07 5G could strengthen Samsung’s position in the budget smartphone market.
