Apple reveals smarter Siri AI and powerful new features

(Web Desk): Apple has unveiled major software updates at WWDC26, introducing a smarter Siri AI, advanced Apple Intelligence features, stronger parental controls, and performance upgrades across its devices.

Apple Introduces a Smarter Siri AI

At its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC26), Apple announced the next generation of Apple Intelligence along with a completely redesigned Siri AI experience.

The new Siri AI is more intelligent and capable than before. It can understand personal context, search through messages, emails, photos, and apps, and perform actions across different applications. Siri AI can also answer questions about content displayed on a user’s screen and fetch the latest information from the web.

Apple said Siri AI will work across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro devices. Users will also be able to revisit previous conversations through a dedicated Siri app that securely syncs information through iCloud.

Apple Intelligence Brings New AI Features

The latest Apple Intelligence system powers several new features across Apple’s ecosystem.

In Photos, a new feature called Spatial Reframing allows users to improve image composition after taking a picture. Apple Intelligence also enhances Messages, Mail, Safari, and Image Playground with AI-powered suggestions and creative tools.

Users can create photorealistic AI-generated images, receive smart reminders, and get contextual recommendations directly within apps.

Stronger Parental Controls for Families

Apple also announced a major expansion of child safety tools.

Parents can now create child accounts with built-in protections and control which apps their children can access. New communication safety features can require parental approval for new contacts and automatically warn children about violent or explicit content.

Screen Time has also been redesigned with daily usage limits, schedules, and improved monitoring tools to help families manage device use more effectively.

Faster Performance Across Apple Devices

Apple says the new software updates will significantly improve performance.

Apps on iPhone and iPad can launch up to 30 percent faster, while photo processing and AirDrop transfers have also been improved. Network switching between Wi-Fi and cellular connections will be smoother, and file transfers on iPad will be much faster.

The company also introduced design refinements, including customizable Liquid Glass effects and updated app icons.

More Features Coming This Fall

Apple announced several additional features, including iCloud Shared Albums, enhanced health tracking for menopause and perimenopause, new Apple Watch functions, custom AirPods audio settings, faster Apple Vision Pro connectivity, and improved Apple Maps Flyover experiences powered by AI.

The updates will be available for developer testing immediately, while public beta versions are expected next month. Official releases for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, visionOS 27, and tvOS 27 are scheduled for later this year.
