Under the Mate 70 series, the famous mobile production company, Huawei introduced two new smart phones, Mate 70 and Mate 70 Pro as part of the new Mate 70 series. It launched the two cell phones at an event in Shenzhen. These two models have number of features, with stylish design, graceful display, and fantastic cameras.
Following are the features of the two newly introduced phones.
Display
The Mate 70 has a 6.7 inches LTPO OLED display, while the Mate 70 Pro lightly increases the size to 6.9 inches. Both phones have FHD+ resolution, a 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, and 2,500 nits peak brightness, ensuring clarity and smooth performance even under bright sunlight. The Huawei Mate 70 and 70 Pro come in Spruce Green, Hyacinth Purple, Snow White, and Obsidian Black colors.
Design
The newly introduced Mate 70 series maintain Huawei’s cornerstone feature of durability and build quality. The Mate 70, however, is the slimmest in the lineup with 7.8mm having a flat frame. These features distinguish it from its counterparts Both come up with an IP69 rating, having feature of protection against water and dust and second-generation Kunlun Glass for enhanced durability, incorporating basalt fiber to resist drops.
Camera
Both models feature a 50MP main camera with variable aperture (f/1.4-f/4.0) and OIS, accompanied by a 40MP ultrawide sensor. The Mate 70 wields a 12MP periscope camera featuring 5.5x optical zoom, while the Mate 70 Pro offers a 48MP periscope lens with 4x optical zoom.
Software
As Huawei has not revealed the chipset details, it is speculated that the series would have the Kirin 9100, a 6nm processor. Both phones run HarmonyOS 4.3, with an update to HarmonyOS Next expected. It has the option of side-mounted fingerprint scanner with a multifunctional button, with addition of controls panels like toggling flash or activating the AI assistant through gesture inputs.
Battery
A battery of 5,300mAh has been installed in Mate 70, with 66W wired and 50W wireless charging. However, the 70 Pro slightly bloats the capacity to 5,500mAh, with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging, catering to users who require faster recharge times.
