Designed by Japanese company Science, the machine allows a person to lie inside while the system gently washes the body without spinning, accompanied by soft music.
The device also monitors the user’s heartbeat and vital signs throughout the process. A prototype displayed during the six-month expo drew considerable interest from visitors.

Science spokeswoman Sachiko Maekura said the machine is a modern reinterpretation of a similar concept exhibited at the 1970 Osaka Expo, adding that the new version is designed to offer both physical cleansing and a relaxing experience. Public interest grew after a US resort group inquired about commercial availability, prompting the company to launch production.
The first unit has been purchased by a hotel in Osaka, while electronics chain Yamada Denki has also placed an order. Science plans limited manufacturing of around 50 machines due to its specialized nature. Local media report that the retail price is expected to be roughly 60 million yen.
