(Web Desk): Fans of the Grand Theft Auto franchise will have to wait even longer, as Rockstar Games has officially delayed the release of Grand Theft Auto VI to November 19, 2026.

Originally slated for May 26, 2026, and before that late 2025, this marks the second official postponement of the highly anticipated title. Rockstar confirmed the delay on Thursday, saying the move was made to ensure the game meets the studio’s “high standards of quality and performance.”

While the news comes as a disappointment to millions of eager fans, it also signals Rockstar’s commitment to perfecting the long-awaited sequel rather than rushing its release.

Set in the fictional state of Leonida, GTA 6 follows the story of Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a criminal couple navigating a world of crime and chaos. The game will allow players to switch between the two main characters and explore Vice City, returning for the first time since the 2002 classic.

The excitement surrounding GTA 6 is immense, especially since its predecessor, GTA V, was launched back in September 2013 — making it a 13-year gap between main entries, the longest in the series’ history.

As of 2025, GTA V remains the second-best-selling video game of all time, with more than 220 million copies sold, according to publisher Take-Two Interactive.

Despite yet another delay in Rockstar’s iconic open-world saga, fans remain hopeful that GTA 6 will be well worth the wait.
