LAHORE (Web Desk): ChatGPT has launched new group chat update, allowing users to chat, plan and exchange ideas with friends.

The new feature of ChatGPT allows users to gather people in one conversation and make decisions together at a same place without switching between apps.

To start group discussion in chat, users have to tap on the people icon in the corner of new and existing chat and invite their friends into it.

Once the friend will accept the invitation, a new separate group chat will be created. This new feature allows users to add up to 20 friends by using a shared link, anyone in the group can use the link to invite new members.

While joining the group, the users are asked to set up their profile, add their name, username and picture as well. Members can check who is already in the chat and can leave as well.

Anyone can remove another participant except the person who created the group.

The ChatGPT system replies only when needed or asked by following the flow of conversation. Members can call ChatGPT in the discussion by mentioning it.

It can also react with emojis and refer to profile photos of the members. Each group can set its own instructions to guide how it responds.

OpenAI have said that no personal memories will be used in the group chat and no new memories will be created from the conversation.

The company is also exploring new controls that will allow users to manage how memory features will work in group settings.
