(Web Desk): China has unveiled a motion-linked robot, a milestone that has showcased its new era of robotic warfare.

China’s military has publicly revealed a new motion-controlled combat robot, marking a major step in its push towards robotic warfare.

According to state media, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) showcased the robot to defense representatives from 13 foreign nations demonstrating, its ability to mimic a soldier’s combat moves in real time.

The robot replicates every attack manoeuvre of a human operator wearing a lightweight motion-sensing suit, leveraging artificial intelligence to match those move precisely.

Observers described it as “Real-steel style”, a reference to a popular film about robots fighting under human control.

This public reveal comes amid a broader push by China to integrate unmanned and autonomous systems into frontline operations.

The PLA has already experimented with quadrupedal “robot wolves” and drone-human mixed drills to bolster maneuverability, reconnaissance and firepower on the battlefield.

Analysts say the new robot could offer strategic advantages: reducing risk to human soldiers, increasing precision in combat moves and accelerating China’s shift toward intelligent warfare.

However, the disclosure has also renewed concerns over the ethical and security implications of A-controlled weapon platforms, especially when motion-controlled robots potentially remove human judgement from life-or-death decisions.
