LAHORE (Web Desk): In a gripping display of perseverance and talent, Pakistan's Atif Iqbal, known better by the alias Atif Butt, won the Tekken 8 championship title at CEO 2025.

As a representative of Team Falcons, Atif beat South Korea s ULSAN 3-2 in the final. Not only does this victory continue to reflect Pakistan s increasing prominence on the international level of Tekken competition but also grants Atif 560 EWC (Esports World Cup) points, enhancing his seeding status for the 2025 Esports World Cup, which he has already qualified for.

In the final, Atif played with Anna Williams and first secured a dominant 2-0 advantage, but ULSAN then equalized the score at 2-2. In the final round, Atif demonstrated his complete command and put on an outstanding show to claim a 3-2 victory and win the championship and once again bring Pakistan to the top of the world esports stage. Importantly, two out of the three top finishers were Pakistani.

At the same time, Pakistani legend Arslan Ash suffered an initial defeat at the hands of ULSAN before coming back strong in the lower bracket. He defeated fellow Pakistani Farzeen and then JeonDDing to arrange a second conflict with ULSAN. The South Korean player once again showed top-notch gameplay to defeat Arslan 3-0 and secure his final spot.

CEO 2025 was not only a tournament victory but also a strong message from Pakistan to the world s Tekken community. Atif s victory contributes to the long list of international achievements for the country in South Asia. Importantly, all four Pakistani players Atif, Arslan Ash, Farzeen, and Bilal played fantastic matches against the best around the globe, with three being in the top six.

With CEO 2025 over, everyone s attention is now shifted to the Esports World Cup, where Atif, ULSAN, Arslan Ash, and Farzeen are already placed.
