The United States produced a commanding performance to defeat Paraguay 4–1 on the second day of the FIFA World Cup 2026, showcasing strong attacking play and control throughout the match.
At the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, the US team took full advantage of a disorganized Paraguay side and led 3–0 at halftime, effectively sealing the contest early.
An own goal by Paraguay’s Bobadilla added to their misery, while Folarin Balogun struck twice within 20 minutes to kill off any hopes of a comeback. Giovanni Reyna added the fourth goal in the closing moments, capping off a dominant display by the American side.
Paraguay briefly reduced the deficit through Mauricio in the 73rd minute, but it proved only a consolation as the US maintained complete control of the game.
