(Web Desk): PCB’s promo for the Pakistan-Australia T20 series humorously highlights Pakistan’s hospitality while taking a playful dig at India ahead of the matches.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has released a creative and humorous promo video for the upcoming Pakistan-Australia T20 series, which also takes a playful swipe at India. The series is scheduled to begin on January 29, 2026, with matches at Qaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on January 29, 31, and February 1.

The promo highlights Pakistan’s famous hospitality and love for cricket, showing an Australian visitor being treated warmly across various settings. In one sequence, a taxi driver refuses to accept payment from the Australian passenger. When the Australian forgets to shake hands, the driver humorously calls him back, saying "handshake bhool gaye aap, lagta hai padosiyo ke paas bhi ruke the" (You forgot the handshake, looks like you even stopped by the neighbours)—an indirect humorous dig reflecting India’s perceived aloofness in contrast to Pakistan’s warmth.

Veteran cricketer Salman Agha, featured in the video, added that while Pakistan is a gracious host, when it comes to cricket, the team is fully prepared to compete and deliver on the field. The promo quickly went viral on social media, generating buzz among cricket fans for its humor, messaging, and subtle commentary on regional cricket rivalries.

The Pakistan-Australia T20 series 2026 promises high-octane cricket, with fans eagerly awaiting the action at Lahore’s Qaddafi Stadium. The matches will serve as a platform for emerging talents and seasoned players from both nations to showcase their skills, while also building excitement ahead of the next international season.
