(Web Desk): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PSL) has announced a completely updated schedule for Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 11

Made after discussions with the government regarding cost-cutting measures, these changes have surprised many fans as the structure of the tournament has been adjusted significantly.

According to the new plan, the tournament will now be held only in two cities, Lahore and Karachi. Earlier, matches were planned in six different cities, but due to new decisions, the number of venues has been reduced.

Despite this major change, the total number of matches will remain the same. A total of 44 matches will be played over 39 days. Both Lahore and Karachi will host 22 matches each, ensuring a balanced distribution between the two cities.

The opening match between Hyderabad Kingsmen and Lahore Qalandars will take place as originally scheduled. Fans are still excited for the opening clash, which is expected to set the tone for the entire tournament.

In the knockout stage, Lahore will host Eliminator 1, Eliminator 2, and the final match. Karachi, on the other hand, will host the Qualifier. This new arrangement is aimed at simplifying logistics and reducing expenses.

Another big change is that fans will not be allowed to attend matches in stadiums. The league will instead focus on broadcasting. Organizers have said they will improve production quality and add new viewing features to keep fans engaged while watching from home.

This season is expected to be different from previous ones, as the focus shifts more towards digital and television audiences rather than live crowds.

This decision shows financial pressure. PCB is trying to reduce costs. Fans may miss stadium experience. But online viewership may increase.
