Pakistan whitewashed 2-0 by Bangladesh in Test series
Bangladesh completed a dominant 2-0 Test series victory over Pakistan after winning the second Test by 78 runs in Sylhet. Pakistan were chasing a huge target of 437 runs but were bowled out for 358 on the fifth morning despite a fighting effort from Mohammad Rizwan and the middle order.
Mohammad Rizwan resumed his innings on 75 and looked set for a memorable century, but he was dismissed for 94 after playing a determined knock that included 10 boundaries. Sajid Khan also showed resistance with 28 runs, hitting five fours before spinner Taijul Islam dismissed him during the final stages of the innings.
Khurram Shahzad was dismissed without scoring as Bangladesh wrapped up the match and celebrated an impressive home series victory. Taijul Islam played a major role in Bangladesh’s success with a brilliant six-wicket haul that broke Pakistan’s batting line-up under pressure.
Pakistan had started the final day needing 121 more runs with three wickets remaining, but Bangladesh’s bowlers quickly finished the contest.
Earlier on day four, Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha had revived Pakistan’s hopes with a strong 134-run partnership for the sixth wicket. Salman Ali Agha scored an important 71 runs off 102 balls, hitting six fours and one six during his aggressive innings.
The partnership briefly shifted pressure back onto Bangladesh and reduced the target to below 200 runs before Taijul Islam struck again. Pakistan had earlier struggled after losing openers Abdullah Fazal and Azan Awais cheaply during the chase.

Captain Shan Masood and Babar Azam then steadied the innings with an important partnership that helped Pakistan cross the 100-run mark. Babar Azam played a quick innings of 47 runs off 52 balls, while Shan Masood fought hard for his 71 runs off 116 deliveries.
Bangladesh regained control before tea on day four after dismissing Babar Azam, Saud Shakeel, and Shan Masood in quick succession. Despite the late resistance from Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha, Pakistan failed to complete the massive chase as Bangladesh sealed another memorable Test victory.
