LAHORE (Web Desk): Tickets for the much-anticipated India-Pakistan ICC Champions Trophy sold out in just an hour.

Reports indicate that within just four minutes of the sale opening, the online queue experienced a wait time of over an hour, as more than 140,000 fans rushed to secure their spots for the February 23 clash. However, many were left disappointed as tickets in most categories sold out quickly, leaving them unable to purchase tickets for the high-stakes match.

Tickets for India’s other group-stage matches — against Bangladesh on February 20 and New Zealand on March 2 — were also released on Monday, but they remained available even two hours after the sales began. Meanwhile, the first semi-final, scheduled for March 4 in Dubai, also sold out rapidly.

Tickets for the 10 Champions Trophy matches, set to take place in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi, went on sale last week and are currently available online.

In addition, physical tickets for the matches in Pakistan are being sold at 108 locations across 26 cities. Long lines of eager fans were seen on Monday waiting to purchase tickets at various outlets.

Tickets for the Champions Trophy final, set for March 9, will be available after the first semi-final in Dubai. The two-week tournament will feature the world’s top eight teams competing for the title, which Pakistan will be defending.
