RAWALPINDI: (Web Desk) In Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, Lahore Qalandars' aggressive wicketkeeper-batter Sam Billings delivered a brilliant performance, breaking a 9-year-old record previously held by Umar Akmal.

In the match against Quetta Gladiators at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Sam Billings scored an unbeaten 50 runs off just 19 deliveries.

Billings became the fastest player to score a half-century for Lahore Qalandars in PSL history.

Previously, Umar Akmal made this record, scoring a 50 off 22 balls while playing for Lahore Qalandars during the inaugural season of the PSL in 2016. Sam Billings broke that record by achieving the milestone three balls faster.

It’s worth noting that the overall record for the fastest fifty in PSL history is still held jointly by Asif Ali and Rilee Rossouw, both of whom reached the mark in just 17 balls.

Lahore Qalandars had won the toss and opted to bat first, setting a massive total of 219 runs for 6 wickets. Sam Billings’ aggressive innings further solidified the team s position and gave cricket fans a performance to remember.
