Manchester Police revealed that a sexual assault complaint was received on August 4, linked to an incident that allegedly took place on July 23 within Manchester’s jurisdiction.
According to police, a 24-year-old man was arrested in connection with the case but was later released on bail until the investigation is complete.
So far, Haider Ali or his legal representatives have not issued any statement regarding the matter.
The news broke yesterday that Haider Ali had been granted bail following his arrest over the alleged assault. Manchester Police have now summoned him again after two weeks and have imposed a travel ban, preventing him from leaving the UK during this period. The incident reportedly occurred during the Pakistan Shaheens cricket team’s recent tour of England.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has suspended Haider Ali, stating that he is under investigation in a criminal case by Manchester Police, which led to his immediate suspension.
The allegations against Haider Ali have sent shockwaves through Pakistan’s cricketing circles, especially given the timing during an official tour. With legal proceedings in motion, the PCB’s swift suspension reflects its zero-tolerance stance on criminal investigations involving its players. However, until the case reaches a conclusion, the matter remains clouded in uncertainty, keeping both fans and the cricket board on edge.
