(Web Desk): As the much-awaited Asia Cup clash between Pakistan and India approached, the Sikh community in Nankana Sahib massed at the ancient Gurdwara Janam Asthan to offer prayers for Pakistan's win.

The scene was charged with devotion and patriotism as men, women and children flocked together, eager to witness Pakistan emerge victorious in the pressure-filled contest.

For most, the match represents something more than cricket—it represents coming together, spirit, and the lifting of the nation. Attendees at the special event shared that a victory over India would bring unparalleled happiness and give a boost to overall morale throughout Pakistan.

Local leader Sardar Balwant Singh pointed out the larger symbolism of the event, commenting that the experience can potentially bring harmony between the two neighboring nations. "If Pakistan will win, there will be millions of hearts that will celebrate together," he said, hoping that both teams would prioritize peace over competition.
