West Indies defeat Pakistan in ODI series after 33 years

(Web Desk): West Indies clinched their first ODI series win over Pakistan in 33 years, thrashing the Green Shirts by 202 runs in the decisive third match.

Chasing a target of 295 at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad, Pakistan collapsed for just 92 runs. Jayden Seales was the star of the show, claiming 6 wickets for only 18 runs.

Saud Shakeel, Abdullah Shafique, Mohammad Rizwan, Hasan Ali, and Abrar Ahmed were all dismissed without scoring. Mohammad Nawaz remained unbeaten on 23, while Naseem Shah scored 6 and Hussain Talat managed just 1 run.

For West Indies, Gudakesh Motie took 2 wickets and Roston Chase picked up 1.

Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and chose to field. Batting first, West Indies posted 294 for 6 in their allotted 50 overs. Captain Shai Hope anchored the innings with a brilliant unbeaten 120 off 94 balls under pressure. Justin Greaves added an unbeaten 43 off 24 balls, while Evin Lewis scored 37 and Roston Chase contributed 36.

For Pakistan, Naseem Shah and Abrar Ahmed took 2 wickets each, while Mohammad Nawaz and Saim Ayub picked up 1 apiece.

The Green Shirts made one change for the final match, bringing in Naseem Shah in place of Shaheen Shah Afridi.
