SmackDown shocker: Hulk Hogan tribute, Brawls breakout

(Web Desk): This week’s SmackDown began with a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Hulk Hogan, who passed away on Thursday. The entire WWE roster, including legends, stood on the stage.

Triple H gave a short speech, followed by a 10-bell salute and a video showing highlights of Hogan’s career. Jimmy Hart was seen getting emotional during the segment.

Logan Paul returned to his hometown of Cleveland, only to insult it once again. He welcomed special guest Jelly Roll, who wasn’t shy about calling Paul a "silver spoon kid."

Things got physical when Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton joined in. A chaotic fight broke out, ending with Orton and Jelly Roll standing tall.

Alexa Bliss vs Roxanne Perez

Charlotte Flair accompanied Bliss, while Raquel Rodriguez came out with Perez. The match was fast and hard-hitting, with both women using high-speed moves.

Bliss looked like she might win until Charlotte and Raquel started fighting outside. Perez took advantage and used the ropes to pin Bliss, who appeared to be bleeding.

Result: Perez defeated Bliss

 Jade Cargill vs Chelsea Green

Jade Cargill dragged Chelsea Green to the ring after attacking her backstage. A referee quickly made it an official match.

Cargill dominated and hit her finisher for the win. Afterward, Secret Hervice attacked her, but Tiffany Stratton made a surprise save.

Result: Cargill defeated Green

The Miz vs Jacob Fatu

Cody Rhodes gave a short promo about his SummerSlam Street Fight with John Cena, and also showed respect to Hogan.

Backstage, The Miz confronted Jacob Fatu, slapped him, and revealed he had arranged a match. Fatu controlled most of it and won. After the bell, Solo Sikoa s group attacked, but Jimmy USO came in with a chair to help.

Result: Fatu defeated The Miz
Grade: B-

 

The Wyatt Sicks vs Andrade and Rey Fenix

Andrade and Fenix earned a tag title shot but lost their chance when Nikki Cross pulled the referee out, causing a disqualification.

This sparked a huge brawl with all the tag teams. GM Nick Aldis announced a TLC match at SummerSlam featuring all teams involved.

Result: Andrade & Fenix won by DQ
Grade: B-

 

The Final Word

This SmackDown focused more on SummerSlam hype and storytelling than actual wrestling. The Hogan tribute added emotion, but matches were short. The TLC match announcement was the night’s highlight.
