Pakistani applicants can now apply for an Australian visa directly from their smartphones using the Australian Immi App, eliminating the need to visit a biometric collection centre.

This digital rollout aims to simplify the visa process for travelers, students, and skilled workers.

The Australian High Commission in Pakistan announced that eligible applicants can submit their passport details and facial biometrics securely via the free Immi App.

High Commissioner Timothy Kane called the initiative “a major step forward in making the Australian visa process easier and more accessible for people in Pakistan.”

To be eligible, applicants must have previously provided their biometrics (facial image and fingerprints) to the Department of Home Affairs and hold a valid passport.

The app ensures secure submission of details, saving applicants both time and travel costs.

The Immi App, first launched in 2024, has already helped thousands of applicants across the Pacific and Asia complete visa requirements efficiently.

With this new rollout, the app is now available in 34 countries, including new access in the Middle East, North Africa, Latin America, and Europe.

High Commissioner Kane encouraged all eligible Pakistani visa applicants to use the app, highlighting its ease, security, and ability to speed up visa processing.

He added that the app is part of the Department of Home Affairs’ program to modernize visa services worldwide, with global implementation expected by early 2026.
