A fresh rain spell across Pakistan has brought cooler temperatures and pleasant weather, with the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasting more showers in the coming days.
Dark clouds have covered major cities, while intermittent rainfall overnight has improved weather conditions, increasing humidity and lowering temperatures.
Lahore, Islamabad and Other Cities See Weather Change
In Lahore, continuous rain for several hours has significantly dropped temperatures, making the weather cool and enjoyable. The rain spell is expected to continue until March 30.
Similarly, Islamabad and Rawalpindi witnessed rainfall, bringing a noticeable chill to the air.

NDMA Issues Nationwide Rain and Snowfall Alert
The National Disaster Management Authority has issued a countrywide alert for rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall, warning of potential weather hazards.
According to NDMA:
- Strong winds and thunderstorms expected
- Heavy rain likely in several regions
- Snowfall predicted in northern and mountainous areas

Areas Expected to Receive Rain and Snowfall
Over the next 24–48 hours, rainfall is expected in:
- Upper and central Punjab
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
- Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan
- Northeast Balochistan
- Southern Punjab and parts of Sindh
Snowfall is also expected in high-altitude areas, including northern mountainous regions.
Risk of Strong Winds, Hailstorms and Landslides
Authorities have warned of:
- Strong winds and thunderstorms
- Possible hailstorms in upper regions
- Risk of landslides in mountainous areas
Weak infrastructure, trees, and power lines may be vulnerable to damage due to severe weather conditions.
How Long Will the Rain Spell Last?
According to PMD forecasts, the current wet spell is likely to continue for the next two to three days, with intermittent rainfall expected in various cities.
Weather conditions may remain partly cloudy even after the rain subsides.

Authorities have advised citizens to:
