Rain brings relief from heat in Lahore as more showers forecast
Rain in Lahore has brought much-needed relief from intense heat, while the Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast more showers during the next 24 hours.
According to the Met Office, late-night rainfall lowered temperatures and ended the uncomfortable humid conditions that had affected residents in recent days. Cool winds have also made the weather more pleasant across the city.
The department said Lahore’s maximum temperature is expected to reach 36 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature may remain around 27 degrees Celsius. The city’s sky is partly cloudy, and winds are likely to blow at a speed of 13 kilometres per hour.
Officials added that humidity levels in Lahore are around 83 percent. However, continued rainfall and cooler winds are expected to keep weather conditions relatively comfortable.
Meanwhile, Karachi is likely to experience cloudy and humid weather. The Met Office said occasional strong winds may blow across the city, with temperatures expected to range between 28 and 35 degrees Celsius.
Weather experts believe seasonal monsoon activity is influencing conditions in several parts of the country. They have advised citizens to stay updated on weather forecasts, especially in areas where heavy rain could lead to localized flooding or traffic disruptions.
In northern Pakistan, tourists continue to arrive in the scenic hill station of Naran to enjoy the cool weather and natural beauty. The popular tourist destination has witnessed a steady influx of visitors from different parts of the country seeking relief from summer temperatures.
With more rain expected in Lahore and other regions, many residents are hoping for an extended break from the recent spell of hot and humid weather.
