Rain and thunderstorms forecast in upper parts of Pakistan
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain, strong winds and thunderstorms in parts of Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, and upper and central Punjab.
According to the Met Office, most upper regions are expected to experience partly cloudy weather, with rain likely at scattered locations.
Some areas may also experience hailstorms, while heavy rainfall is possible at a few places in upper Kashmir.
The forecast indicates changing weather conditions across northern Pakistan, where rain and thunderstorms may develop over the coming hours.
Residents in affected areas should stay updated on local weather advisories, particularly where strong winds, hail or heavy rain are expected.
Sindh and Balochistan likely to remain hot and dry
While rain is expected in upper parts of the country, most other regions are likely to experience dry weather.
The PMD has forecast mainly hot and dry conditions in Sindh, particularly during the daytime.
Most districts of Balochistan are also expected to remain dry. However, partly cloudy conditions may prevail in Khuzdar, Zhob, Barkhan and Musakhel.
This means northern areas may receive rain while much of the southern part of the country continues to experience warm and dry weather.
