Punjab rain forecast warns of more downpours across Lahore
Rain brings relief from heat
The latest spell of Lahore monsoon rains began again late at night and has continued at intervals since then.
The rain has brought welcome relief from hot and humid weather. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, Lahore’s minimum temperature is expected to remain around 27°C, while the maximum may reach 32°C.
Officials said the Lahore weather update suggests that rain will continue at different times throughout the day.
Punjab rain forecast warns of more rainfall
The latest Punjab rain forecast predicts more rain in Lahore and many other parts of Punjab during the next 24 hours.
Following the forecast, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued an alert to district administrations across the province.
Local authorities have been directed to remain prepared for possible urban flooding and other rain-related problems.
WASA teams continue drainage operations
WASA Managing Director Ghufran Ahmed and field teams are actively monitoring drainage operations across Lahore.
Officials said emergency staff are working around the clock to clear rainwater quickly from roads and low-lying areas to reduce disruption for the public.

Nishtar Town records the highest rainfall
According to official data, Nishtar Town recorded the highest rainfall with 42.2 millimetres.
Other areas also received significant rain, including 30 millimetres at Lahore Airport, 20.6 millimetres in Johar Town, 12.6 millimetres at Upper Mall, 6.8 millimetres in Kahna, 3.4 millimetres on Defence Road, and 2.2 millimetres at the WASA Head Office in Gulberg.
Authorities said the Lahore weather update will continue as weather conditions change, while the Punjab rain forecast will be monitored closely to ensure timely response to any emergency.
The Lahore monsoon rains are expected to continue until the weather system weakens, and officials have advised residents to stay informed through official weather updates.
