The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast more rain and snowfall in different parts of the country over the coming days, which may further increase cold weather conditions.
According to the PMD, the weather in Islamabad is expected to remain cold, with partly cloudy skies. While no heavy rain is predicted for the capital, temperatures are likely to stay low, especially during mornings and nights.
In Balochistan, cold weather is expected to continue in most districts. Rain is forecast in areas including Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Chaghi, Nokkundi and Dalbandin. These weather conditions may affect daily life and road travel in some parts of the province.
The PMD also said that Murree, Galiyat and surrounding areas may experience rain and snowfall. Due to this, the intensity of cold is expected to increase further, and slippery road conditions may develop in hilly regions.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rain and snowfall are likely at a few places in upper areas such as Chitral, Dir, Kohistan, Swat and Kalam. Residents and tourists in these regions have been advised to remain careful.
Similarly, Gilgit Baltistan is expected to receive rain and snowfall at a few locations, which could impact travel and outdoor activities.
In Azad Kashmir, cold weather with cloudy skies is expected, while light rain or snowfall may occur in some areas.
The PMD has advised citizens to take precautionary measures and avoid unnecessary travel, especially in mountainous and snow-prone areas, to stay safe during changing weather conditions.
