The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued an important weather update for Lahore and Karachi, with contrasting conditions expected in both cities.

In Lahore, the current temperature was recorded at 33°C, while the maximum temperature is expected to reach 37°C and the minimum may fall to 29°C.

Winds are blowing at around 6 kilometres per hour, while the humidity level has reached 65%. The combination of heat and humidity is making the weather feel more uncomfortable for residents.

Citizens advised to take precautions

The weather department has advised citizens to take precautionary measures, particularly during the hottest part of the day.

People are encouraged to stay hydrated, avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight and take extra care while working or travelling outdoors.

Karachi gets relief from sea breeze

Meanwhile, Karachi is experiencing a significant change in weather, with cloudy skies and sea breezes returning to the city.

The current temperature was recorded at 28°C, while the day’s temperature is expected to reach around 33°C. The minimum temperature was recorded at 26.8°C.

Drizzle possible in Karachi

According to the weather department, southwesterly winds are blowing at around 20 kilometres per hour, making conditions relatively pleasant.

The city is expected to remain mostly cloudy and humid throughout the day, with a possibility of light drizzle at some places.

The return of sea breezes has provided some relief to Karachi residents after recent hot and humid conditions, although high humidity may continue to make the weather feel warmer than the actual temperature.
