(Web Desk): Cold and dry weather is expected to cover most parts of the country as continental air continues to dominate the region, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

Most areas will see cold and dry conditions, while the northern parts are likely to experience very cold weather. Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir may observe partly cloudy skies, adding a light variation to the otherwise dry spell.

Smog, along with patches of fog, is likely to persist across the plain regions of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, affecting visibility and air clarity for residents.

During the past 24 hour, weather remained cold and dry over most parts of the country, while very cold and partly cloudy weather in hilly areas. Smog (while fog in patches during night/morning hours) persisted over a few plain areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The weather pattern shows that cold and dry conditions will continue for now. Northern parts may face even colder days ahead. Smog and fog remain concerns for people in Punjab and KP, especially during travel hours. The overall outlook suggests a stable but chilly weather situation across the country.
