
It has been raining in the suburbs of Karachi, Kathore, Gadap and surrounding areas since Thursday. Thunderstorms continue to lash Gulshan-e-Hadeed. Heavy rain is also falling in various areas including Malir, Safoora, Model Colony and Saadi Town.
Thunderstorms are also occurring in Defense, Scheme 33 and North Nazimabad. Apart from Shara-e-Faisal, Tariq Road is also experiencing thunderstorms.
After the rain in the city and surrounding areas, the weather has become pleasant and the heat has subsided.

It should be noted that rain has been predicted in Karachi from Friday to Sunday under the influence of a monsoon system.
Although the weather has become pleasant, Power went out in Surjani Town along with thunder and rain, power was also cut off in Tariq Bin Ziyad Society, Malir. Rain continues on I. I. Chundrigar Road as well.
According to reports, more than 200 feeders have been tripped in different parts of Karachi. According to K-Electric sources, feeders in Gulshan Maymar, Surjani, Nazimabad, and Gulshan Iqbal have been tripped, while electricity is suspended in Old City Area, Jamshed Town, New Karachi, Surjani, and North Nazimabad.
Maripur, Lyari, Kemari, Hawkes Bay, Quaidabad are also without electricity. In addition, the areas of PIB and Korangi are also affected by feeder trips.
According to meteorologist Anjum Nazir, there is a risk of urban flooding due to heavy rain on Saturday, while intermittent rain is likely to continue in the city on Sunday as well.
