Sections of motorways closed due to dense fog

LAHORE (Web desk): Thick fog engulfed the plain areas of Punjab, causing disruptions to road traffic.
The dense fog has badly affected the flow of road traffic in several cities across Punjab.
As per police spokesperson, Motorway M2 from Lahore to Kot Momin, M3 from Lahore to Abdul Hakim, M5 from Sher Shah to Zahir Pir and M11 from Lahore to Sialkot have been closed to traffic.
The Motorway police have urged travellers to use Grand Trunk (GT) Road. They have also asked the drivers to drive carefully, switching on fog lights.
The Motorway police have also advised the residents of Punjab to stay home and avoid unnecessary travelling. The blanket of fog has also disrupted traffic at various spots at the national highways due to low visibility in the plain areas.
