Dollar Loses Value To Rupee In Interbank Market

KARACHI: (Web Desk) The US dollar has depreciated by 4 paise to Rs279.60 against the Pakistani rupee at the outset of the interbank trading today.
Yesterday, the Pakistani rupee depreciated by 0.02 percent against the US dollar in the interbank trading and ended the day at Rs279.64.
On the other hand, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) is witnessing a bearish trend as the KSE-100 index has lost 36 points and is trading at 62,736.
On Jan 29, 2024, the benchmark KSE-100 index at the PSX lost over 1,000 points ahead of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting which later decided to keep the policy rate unchanged at 22 percent.
As per the PSX website, the KSE-100 benchmark index dipped 630.11 or 0.99 percent at 11:23 am to stand at 63,182.95 from the previous close of 63,813.06.
It further lost at 3:30 pm by 1,039.34 points or 1.63pc and closed at 62,773.72.
