Widow Sahara Card 2026 has been formally launched by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, promising financial assistance of up to Rs 150000 for eligible widows across the province.
According to the Punjab government, the scheme aims to provide economic relief to widowed women, help them meet basic household needs, and create opportunities for self-reliance. Officials said the amount of assistance will vary depending on the size of the family and number of children.
Under the scheme, the base financial assistance has been fixed at Rs 100000. Widows supporting one child will receive Rs 125000, including an additional Rs 25000. Those caring for two or more children will be eligible for Rs 150000, including an extra Rs 50000.
The program is set to begin in February 2026, while the registration process will continue until March 14. Applicants must be permanent residents of Punjab and legally recognized widows.
Required documents include a valid CNIC verified by National Database and Registration Authority, the husband’s death certificate, and children’s B-Form where applicable.

Authorities have introduced two application methods. Eligible women can either apply through an online portal or visit nearby registration centers. Officials assured that all applications will undergo biometric verification and document scrutiny to ensure transparency.
The Punjab government described the initiative as a major milestone in social welfare and women’s empowerment, saying thousands of deserving widows will receive timely financial relief and support for a dignified life.
