Where Pakistan’s top political leaders are spending Eid
Prominent political leaders across Pakistan have travelled to their hometowns and respective constituencies to celebrate Eidul Azha with family and supporters.
Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Hamza Shehbaz, Chaudhry Sarwar, Sardar Latif Khosa, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Aitzaz Ahsan, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Aliem Khan, and others will celebrate Eid in Lahore.
Leaders in different cities
Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will offer Eid prayers in Larkana, while Punjab Governor Salim Haider Khan will celebrate Eid in his village Dhurnal in Attock.
Former Prime Minister Imran Khan, along with senior PTI leaders including Ejaz Chaudhry, Mahmood-ur-Rasheed, and Yasmin Rashid, will observe Eid in jail.
In other locations, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and his family will celebrate in Gujrat, Sheikh Rasheed and Chaudhry Nisar in Rawalpindi, Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gillani in Multan, Fawad Chaudhry in Jhelum, and Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Dera Ismail Khan.
Major cities also see celebrations
Rana Sanaullah will be in Faisalabad, Raja Pervez Ashraf in Gujar Khan, Asad Qaiser in Swabi, while Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Jamaat-e-Islami chief Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, Sherry Rehman, Shireen Mazari, and Raza Rabbani will spend Eid in Karachi.
Eidul Azha is being observed across the country with traditional religious enthusiasm, family gatherings, and prayers for peace and prosperity.
