Weather update for Eidul Azha brings relief from heatwave fears
Residents of Karachi may get some relief this Eidul Azha as weather experts have ruled out any immediate threat of a heatwave or cyclone activity in the Arabian Sea.
Meteorologist Ayesha Kanwal said the city is likely to experience warm and humid conditions during the Eid holidays, but no extreme weather system is currently developing near the coastal region.
According to the forecast, temperatures in Karachi during Eidul Azha are expected to remain between 24 and 36 degrees Celsius. However, the intensity of heat may feel higher because of changing humidity levels in the air.
The meteorologist also stated that no western weather system is expected to affect the city during the holiday period. Weather conditions are likely to remain stable, with typical summer heat and humidity continuing across most areas of Karachi.
Experts have advised citizens to avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight, especially during afternoon hours when humidity and temperatures are expected to peak.
People planning outdoor activities, animal markets, or family gatherings during Eid have been urged to stay hydrated and use protective measures against heat exhaustion.
Authorities said that while no heatwave warning has been issued at this stage, precautionary measures remain important due to the overall warm weather conditions.
The latest forecast comes as many Karachi residents prepare for Eidul Azha celebrations amid concerns over rising summer temperatures across different parts of Pakistan.
