GWADAR (Web Desk): Gwadar airport revises flight operating schedule as authorities announce temporary changes under a new NOTAM issued for flight operations.

A Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) has been issued for Gwadar International Airport, announcing a temporary revision in its operational hours for a limited period.

According to the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), the airport will operate only on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:15am to 11:45am, starting today until 20 June.

The authority has directed that all non-scheduled civil and military flights must coordinate with airport officials at least 24 hours before their arrival or departure.

Officials said any flight operations outside the approved time window will require prior permission from the relevant authorities. Airlines and aircraft operators have also been instructed to strictly follow the new schedule.

The revised operating hours will remain in effect until 20 June, after which normal flight timings are expected to resume unless further updates are issued.

Gwadar International Airport is considered an important project under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The airport was built with cooperation between China and Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority.

Earlier, in February 2024, flight operations at the airport were suspended due to continuous heavy rainfall lasting around 16 hours. Authorities had halted operations at that time to ensure passenger safety and protect the aircraft.
