SNGPL to Suspend Gas Supply in Multiple Multan Areas on Sunday from 9 AM to 9 PM
The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced a 12-hour gas suspension in several parts of Multan on Sunday, advising residents to make necessary arrangements in advance.
According to an SNGPL spokesperson, the gas supply will remain suspended from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm due to scheduled operational work. The temporary shutdown is expected to affect domestic and commercial consumers across a number of localities.
The areas where gas supply will remain unavailable include Chungi No 9 to Adda Band Bosan, Dehter Chowk to Syedan Wala Bypass, Model Town Phases 1 and 2, Wapda Town Phases 1 and 2, Multan Public School Road, Zakariya Town, Gulgasht Colony and Kahkashan Street.
Residents living in these areas have been advised to store sufficient gas for cooking where possible or make alternative arrangements before the suspension begins.
SNGPL said the temporary interruption is part of scheduled maintenance aimed at ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the gas distribution network. The company expects gas supply to be restored immediately after the maintenance work is completed.
The utility company also urged consumers to cooperate with its technical teams and avoid unnecessary complaints during the maintenance period.
Officials advised residents to ensure that gas stoves and appliances are switched off before the restoration of supply as a safety precaution.
Consumers have been encouraged to contact SNGPL's customer service helpline if gas supply is not restored after the announced time or if they experience any technical issues following the completion of maintenance work.
The company apologized for the temporary inconvenience and thanked consumers for their patience and cooperation during the scheduled shutdown.
