Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that the subsidy amount will be transferred directly to the registered owner after proper registration and verification.
He added that an application system is available on the excise department’s website, making it easier for people to apply for the subsidy.
The government has also made motorcycle transfers free of cost. People who have purchased bikes but have not transferred ownership are advised to complete the process to become eligible for the relief.
To facilitate citizens, transfer offices will remain open from 8:00am to 12:00 midnight. These offices will also remain open on Saturdays and Sundays to handle the expected rush.
The chief minister also discussed market timings, saying that traders have been consulted about closing markets at 8:00pm. He added that a final decision will be made after consulting the federal government.

In another relief measure, the government has decided that public transport fares will not increase. Passengers will continue to pay the same fares that were in place on February 28.
The Sindh government will bear the financial burden of rising fuel prices by providing subsidies to transporters through the federal government.
Murad Ali Shah said that while it would have been easier to reduce fares only for government transport, keeping fares unchanged for all buses will benefit more people.
He added that transporters of coaches, minibuses, coasters, and vans have been offered a package. In return, they will not increase fares, and the government will compensate them for higher diesel costs.
