Sindh’s senior minister Sharjeel Memon, officially launched a new electric bus route in Karachi to improve public transport in the city.
The new EV bus route will run from Gulshan Maymaar to Tower, covering a distance of 33 kilometers and connecting key areas of the city.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, Deputy Mayor Salman Murad, MNA Shahida Rehmani, and other officials.
Speaking at the event, Sharjeel Memon said that the Sindh government is working on multiple development projects across Karachi.
He added that the construction work on Shahrah-e-Bhutto is expected to be completed by April 30.
The minister also highlighted ongoing efforts in infrastructure, sanitation, and water supply projects in the city.
He praised Mayor Murtaza Wahab for working actively to improve Karachi’s development and public services.

Sharjeel Memon said the government aims to expand the People’s Bus Service across the entire city, ensuring that every area benefits from improved transport.
“We are running the first pink buses of the region,” he said, referring to the special buses introduced for women.
The minister also announced that more bus services will be launched in other districts, including Shikarpur, Khairpur, and Tando Allahyar, after Eid.
Officials believe that the expansion of electric buses will help reduce traffic problems and provide a more affordable and environmentally friendly transport option for citizens.
