Saudi Arabia sets new Hajj age limit – Why under-15 pilgrims barred
According to Pakistan Airport Authority, the new Haj age limit will take effect immediately from 3 May 2026. Airport officials have been instructed not to allow passengers under 15 years of age to board Haj flights. The decision will affect many families preparing for the pilgrimage this year.
The authority said Haj visas of pilgrims below 15 years of age will be treated as cancelled. Officials have also been directed to stop such passengers at airports before departure.
It was further clarified that pilgrims who will remain under 15 years of age until 27 May will not be eligible to perform Haj. Saudi authorities have assured affected pilgrims that they will receive a full refund of the amount paid.
Officials said no airline from any country will be allowed to bring underage pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. The order has been enforced immediately and airlines have been told to follow the new rule without delay.
