LAHORE (Web Desk): Rs2,000 fine for motorcycles without indicators as Punjab Traffic Police tighten rules to improve road safety.

Punjab Traffic Police has warned motorcyclists to strictly follow road safety rules, especially the use of turn indicators, or face strict action.

According to officials, anyone riding a motorcycle without working indicators will be fined Rs2,000. The move is part of efforts to reduce accidents on busy roads.

Authorities said ignoring indicators is not just a traffic violation but also a major cause of road accidents. It can put both the rider and others on the road at serious risk.

Officials pointed out that fixing indicators is not expensive. The cost is around Rs400, making it a small price to pay for safety. They said, “A small investment in safety can prevent accidents and save lives.”

They said these basic steps are essential to ensure safe travel for riders and their families.

Punjab Traffic Police warned that enforcement will be increased across the province. Violators will be fined without leniency as part of a wider campaign to improve road safety and reduce accidents.
