Rs2000 fine set for motorcycles without indicators
Punjab Traffic Police has warned motorcyclists to strictly follow road safety rules, especially the use of turn indicators, or face strict action.
According to officials, anyone riding a motorcycle without working indicators will be fined Rs2,000. The move is part of efforts to reduce accidents on busy roads.
Authorities said ignoring indicators is not just a traffic violation but also a major cause of road accidents. It can put both the rider and others on the road at serious risk.
Officials pointed out that fixing indicators is not expensive. The cost is around Rs400, making it a small price to pay for safety. They said, “A small investment in safety can prevent accidents and save lives.”
