Rescue 1122 announces 484 jobs across Punjab; apply now
The Emergency Services Department Punjab (Rescue 1122) has announced 484 new job openings across the province, providing fresh employment opportunities for candidates interested in joining the emergency response sector.
The vacancies have been advertised for various districts of Punjab, with recruitment planned on a temporary basis. Interested applicants can submit their applications through the Central Testing Service (CTS), while the deadline for applications is August 3, 2026.
Hundreds of vacancies available
According to the official advertisement, the recruitment includes positions for Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), Fire DERT Rescuers (FDRs), and Rescue Drivers holding Light Transport Vehicle (LTV) licences.
A total of 108 vacancies have been announced for EMTs under PPS-3, 175 positions for Fire DERT Rescuers under PPS-3, and 201 vacancies for Rescue Drivers under PPS-2.
Officials say the recruitment drive is aimed at strengthening Rescue 1122’s emergency response capacity and improving public safety services across Punjab.
Eligibility criteria for applicants
Candidates applying for the EMT position must possess a nursing or paramedical diploma or degree with at least a second division from a recognized institution. Applicants must be between 20 and 30 years of age.
For Fire DERT Rescuer positions, candidates are required to have a DAE diploma in relevant fields such as Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Mining, Telecommunication, or Architecture, with a minimum second division. The age limit is also 20 to 30 years.
Applicants for Rescue Driver posts must have a Secondary School Certificate (SSC) with at least second division and a valid LTV driving licence. The required age range is 20 to 30 years.
Districts included in recruitment
The vacancies have been distributed among several districts, including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Sheikhupura, Sargodha, Jhelum, Chakwal, Murree, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, Muzaffargarh, Layyah, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Hafizabad, Nankana Sahib, Pakpattan, Khushab, D.G. Khan, and Toba Tek Singh.
Rawalpindi has received one of the largest shares of vacancies, while Gujranwala also has a significant number of openings across different categories.
Application process
Candidates can apply online through the CTS portal. After completing the online application, applicants must print the form and send it to CTS by post before the closing date.
Rescue 1122 has warned that incomplete or late applications will not be considered. Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear in written, psychological, and physical tests before final selection.
