The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has introduced a special welfare programme to help deserving families during the holy month of Ramazan. To make the process easier, officials have also launched a dedicated online portal where citizens can check their eligibility.
Through the Ramazan relief package portal, people only need to enter their Computerized National Identity Card number. After entering the CNIC, the system quickly tells the applicant whether they are eligible for the assistance.
Officials say the online portal was created to save citizens from visiting government offices. Now people can easily verify their status from home without waiting in long lines.
Under the Ramazan relief package, thousands of low-income families across the province are expected to receive financial support as well as essential food items.

Authorities said the relief package will include important household items needed during Ramazan. These include flour, sugar, cooking oil or ghee, and other daily necessities used by families.
Government officials explained that the beneficiaries were selected using socioeconomic data and eligibility rules. This process was designed to make sure the aid reaches the most deserving households.
They also said the online verification system will increase transparency and reduce confusion about who qualifies for the relief package.
Citizens have been advised to check their eligibility only through the official government website and avoid clicking on suspicious or fake links that may attempt to misuse their information.
The KP government described the Ramazan relief package as an important welfare initiative aimed at helping vulnerable communities during Ramazan, when household expenses usually increase.
Officials also encouraged people to inform authorities if they know a deserving family that may have been left out of the list so their case can be reviewed.

By introducing the digital portal, authorities believe the distribution of aid will become faster, clearer, and more efficient for the public.
This online portal can make relief distribution easier for many families. Digital systems reduce long queues and paperwork. If implemented well, it can improve trust in government welfare programmes.
