The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast more rain over the next two days as thunderstorms and strong winds continue to affect Lahore and several parts of Punjab.

Rainfall accompanied by thunder and gusty winds persisted for the second consecutive day in different districts of the province, bringing a noticeable drop in temperatures and creating a pleasant weather atmosphere in many cities.

In Lahore, steady rain that began overnight continued into the morning, while strong winds were also recorded across the city. According to weather officials, wind speed reached around 14 kilometers per hour, which significantly lowered the temperature compared to the previous day and increased the chill in the air.

Several districts of Punjab experienced intermittent heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and strong winds throughout the night. In Gujrat, continuous spells of rain turned many areas waterlogged, while low-lying parts of the city reported accumulation of rainwater.

Sargodha also witnessed heavy rain accompanied by thunder, strong winds and hailstorm, disrupting normal activities in the area.

In the northern region, light snowfall was recorded in upper and tourist areas of Mansehra including Shogran and Naran. The combination of rainfall in plains and snowfall in mountainous areas further intensified the cold weather conditions.

The Met Office has advised citizens to remain cautious as unstable weather conditions are expected to persist over the next two days.
