Punjab transport company offers 105 jobs with salaries up to 10 lac
The Punjab Transport Company (PTC) has announced 105 jobs 2026 for professionals across its Project Management Units (PMUs) and Project Implementation Units (PIUs). The vacancies offer opportunities in engineering, project management, procurement, finance, administration, legal affairs, information technology and construction-related fields.
PTC, a company wholly owned by the Government of Punjab, will hire candidates for a period of 12 months. Jobs available in PMU
PTC has announced 15 positions in its Project Management Units, including several senior-level PTC jobs. The positions include Project Director, Chief Engineer, Manager Procurement and Contracts, Manager Admin and Finance, Manager Engineering, Manager Internal Audit and Deputy Manager Legal.
The highest-paid position is Project Director, carrying a monthly gross salary of Rs950,000. Chief Engineer will receive Rs850,000, while several manager-level positions offer Rs568,750 per month.
Other PMU positions include Assistant Managers for procurement, finance, internal audit and IT, along with Associate Admin and Office Associate posts. Salaries for these positions range from Rs90,000 to Rs300,000 per month.
More vacancies in PIU
The Project Implementation Units account for another 90 vacancies, creating opportunities for engineering and project support professionals. The largest number of positions is available for Assistant Manager Civil and Sub Engineer, with 30 vacancies each.
PTC has also announced nine Assistant Manager Electrical positions and nine Quantity Surveyor posts. Three vacancies are available for Assistant Manager Health and Safety, while nine Associate Admin positions are also included in the recruitment.
Monthly gross salaries for PIU positions range from Rs141,750 for Associate Admin to Rs350,000 for Assistant Manager Civil and Assistant Manager Electrical. The overall salary range in the advertisement runs from Rs90,000 to Rs950,000.
Who can apply?
The eligibility criteria vary according to the position and level of responsibility. Applicants for the Project Director position must have a master’s degree, preferably in Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
The Project Director role requires at least 15 years of post-qualification experience, including 10 years in planning or managing major infrastructure or development projects. The Chief Engineer position requires a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering, while a master’s degree will be preferred.
Candidates applying for Manager Engineering must have a relevant engineering degree and at least eight years of experience. Manager-level positions in procurement, administration, finance and internal audit generally require relevant qualifications and around 10 years of experience.
Engineering and technical jobs
For PIU engineering positions, applicants for Assistant Manager Civil and Assistant Manager Electrical must hold relevant engineering degrees and have at least five years of experience. The Health and Safety position also requires five years of relevant experience along with a recognised certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH or OSHA.
Candidates applying for Sub Engineer and Quantity Surveyor positions need a relevant Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) and five years of experience. Quantity Surveyor applicants should have experience in cost estimation, bills of quantities and construction cost assessment.
Age limit and application deadline
The maximum age is 50 years for the Project Director, Chief Engineer, PMU managers and Deputy Manager Legal positions. Assistant Manager applicants can be up to 40 years old, while the maximum age for Associate Admin, Sub Engineer and Quantity Surveyor posts is 45 years.
