Special numbers like 1, 3, 9, and 57, once available at low prices, now start from Rs 100,000. The number 786, which is in high demand, is priced between Rs 10,000 and Rs 100,000. Double-digit numbers range from Rs 7,000 to Rs 50,000, while triple-digit numbers are priced between Rs 5,000 and Rs 25,000.

Authorities said that 46,600 number plates left unsold from earlier e-auctions will now be offered again at the new prices. Out of these, 10,400 are car numbers, 33,300 are motorcycle numbers, and 3,000 belong to commercial vehicles. These numbers were not sold in the previous auctions.

The department also shared that e-auctions have already earned more than Rs 800 million so far, showing a strong response from buyers.

The updated pricing and e-auction system will be implemented starting this month. Authorities say the move is aimed at ensuring a transparent and fair process for buyers while also addressing the increasing demand for popular and attractive vehicle registration numbers across the province.
