The CM Punjab E-Bike Scheme 2026 will provide eligible male and female students across the province with electric bikes through government subsidies and interest-free financing. Students enrolled in eligible public and private educational institutions can apply under the programme.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old and have a valid driving licence or learner permit along with a Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC). A parent or legal guardian can act as guarantor, while the mobile number provided in the application must be registered in the guarantor's name.

E-bike application deadline and eligibility

Students can submit their applications online until October 4, 2026, through the official Punjab government portal. The scheme is part of Punjab's wider electric transport initiative aimed at making student mobility more affordable.

Recent reports say the programme covers students from more than 33,000 public and private educational institutions across Punjab.

Electric bike features and free training

The electric bikes offered under the scheme feature a 72-volt, 30Ah battery and a 1,000-watt motor, with a reported top speed of around 50 to 55 kilometres per hour.

Students can also receive free scooter driving training at five Lahore centres, including Abshar Driving School, Liberty Khidmat Markaz, Greater Iqbal Park, Traffic Police Lines Manawan and LOS Ferozepur Road.

Student licence and safety facilities

Special licence counters have been established at the training centres to help students obtain scooter licences. Participants will also receive free helmets and safety equipment as part of the initiative.
