Public holiday announced on July 29
The Services, General Administration and Coordination Department (SGA&CD) has issued an official notification confirming the public holiday across Sindh. According to the notification, all government and semi-government offices will remain closed on July 29.
The holiday will also apply to autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous organisations, local councils, and municipal authorities working under the Sindh government.
The annual Urs of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai (RA) is one of Sindh’s largest religious and cultural events, attracting thousands of devotees from across Pakistan every year.

Special religious gatherings, traditional music performances, and cultural ceremonies are expected to be held at the saint’s shrine in Bhit Shah to pay tribute to his life, poetry, and teachings.
Authorities are expected to make arrangements to facilitate visitors, as a large number of devotees are likely to attend the annual celebrations.
