Federal Minister for Energy Sardar Awais Leghari has ordered uninterrupted electricity during sehri and iftar in Ramazan.
The minister directed the Power Division to ensure zero load shedding at the time of sehri and iftar across the country. He made it clear that even high-loss areas must not face power cuts during these important hours of the holy month.
According to officials, power distribution companies have been instructed to strictly follow the orders. The government wants people to observe Ramazan with ease and without the stress of electricity outages at critical times of the day.
Sardar Awais Leghari said that load management, if required, will be adjusted during other hours instead of sehri and iftar. Authorities have been told to monitor the system closely to avoid unexpected breakdowns.

Meanwhile, gas companies have also announced a special schedule for Ramazan. Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) said gas will be supplied from 3:00am to 10:30pm daily. The move aims to facilitate households in preparing meals for sehri and iftar without disruption.
The coordinated plan for electricity and gas supply reflects the government’s effort to provide maximum relief to citizens during Ramazan, when energy demand usually increases significantly.
