Planning Hajj 2027? Big registration update for Pakistani pilgrims
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has indicated that mandatory registration for Hajj 2027 may start during June 2026. The move comes as preparations for the next Hajj season begin under new guidelines and timelines.
According to a statement issued by the ministry’s spokesperson, preparations for Hajj 2027 have already been initiated in line with regulations set by the Saudi government. Officials said early planning is necessary to ensure smooth arrangements for pilgrims.
The spokesperson said Pakistani citizens wishing to perform Hajj in 2027 must possess a valid passport. The passport must remain valid until at least November 16, 2027, to qualify for registration.
Authorities advised intending pilgrims to obtain or renew their Pakistani passports as soon as possible. Early preparation could help applicants avoid delays once the registration process officially opens.
The ministry said registered pilgrims will be eligible to participate in either the government Hajj scheme or the private Hajj scheme. Further details regarding packages, expenses and conditions will be announced under the upcoming Hajj policy.
Officials also clarified that overseas Pakistanis intending to perform Hajj in 2027 will be required to complete registration. This requirement will apply regardless of whether they plan to travel under a government or private arrangement.
