Planning Umrah? Saudi Arabia begins visa issuance after Hajj 2026
According to a statement issued by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the arrival of Umrah pilgrims from different countries has already started. Pilgrims began entering the Kingdom from Sunday under the new Umrah season arrangements. The move comes shortly after the conclusion of this year’s Hajj season.
The ministry said Umrah visas for the new season will continue to be issued until March 9, 2027. After that date, the issuance of Umrah visas will be suspended until the next season.
Saudi authorities have also announced important travel deadlines for pilgrims. Visitors arriving for Umrah will be allowed to enter Saudi Arabia until March 23, 2027.
All Umrah pilgrims will be required to leave the Kingdom by April 7, 2027. The authorities urged visitors to follow the approved timelines to avoid any travel issues.

Pilgrims can now obtain entry permissions and Umrah permits through the Saudi government’s “Nusuk” application. The platform serves as a central digital system for permits, bookings, guidance and various Hajj and Umrah-related services.
Saudi Arabia is also continuing work on transport, accommodation and other infrastructure projects under Vision 2030. These efforts are aimed at improving services and making religious journeys smoother for millions of visitors.
Officials say the upgrades are designed to handle the growing number of pilgrims expected in the coming years. The goal is to provide a more comfortable, efficient and organized experience for Umrah and Hajj visitors.
Saudi Arabia is focusing heavily on digital services and better facilities for pilgrims. The new measures could make Umrah travel easier and more convenient for visitors from around the world.
