Pakistan International Airlines has announced the resumption of direct flights to London after a long gap of six years.
The move is expected to provide relief to Pakistanis living both at home and abroad who rely on direct travel routes.
According to a PIA spokesperson, the first flight will operate from Islamabad to London, followed by a Lahore to London flight the next day.
Initially, the airline will operate four flights per week to London.
Of these, three flights will depart from Islamabad and one from Lahore.
All flights will be operated using Boeing 777 aircraft.
Passengers will arrive at Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 4 in London.

The spokesperson said that restoring this route marks an important step for the airline after years of suspension.
PIA has a long-standing history with the London route, which has been one of its earliest international connections for more than 70 years.
With the resumption of these flights, PIA’s total weekly operations to the United Kingdom will increase.
Before the suspension in 2020, the airline was operating around 10 weekly flights between Pakistan and London.
Officials said the number of flights will be increased gradually in line with demand and operational capacity.
This development is being seen as a positive sign for the aviation sector and international connectivity.
