Support for vulnerable households
Officials said the increase is aimed at providing additional financial stability to vulnerable households, particularly women who rely on this support for basic needs such as food and utilities.
Boost in child nutrition assistance
In addition, payments under the Benazir Nashonuma Programme have also been enhanced. The government has increased financial assistance by Rs 500 per child to ensure better nutrition and healthcare for children, addressing concerns related to malnutrition.
Increase in education stipends
Similarly, the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Programme has seen an increase of Rs 500 per student. This step is expected to encourage school attendance and reduce dropout rates among children from low-income families.
